Why do muscles ache after running feet?

The only time I have a problem with my foot muscle (under foot) is after having had a long career …. Another time my foot hurts is when I work on my calves. Once you feel the pain in my foot, then my muscles stop start to burn. Is it normal for my muscles ache feet after jogging and forth?
