Can anyone suggest how to remove a red pen stain cotton pillows?

I dropped a pen with the lid on the couch. We large removable pads and pen leaked on the cushion.I tried to use pre-wash and wash away the covers, but can not remove the stain. Any ideas? Thanks

Gently blot with a sponge soaked with alcohol. Try a small spot first. It has plenty of ventilation.
