Exam Gloves
Exam Gloves
Is there a law requiring a doctor to wear gloves during a pelvic exam?
I can not seem to get any answers! I have called Illnois Department of Public Health, Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, and the CDC in Atlanta. Nobody seems to know. I wish this was a joke …. But not
No, not why, as he washed his hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap before the test or surgery. What do you think made before surgical gloves were invented? There are many doctors who are either allergic to latex, fingers or hands are too long or thick for the Plus Size remain large or leaving late in the patient, or have a condition where the nerves in the hand is numb when the gloves are in place and the doctor the patient can not feel or what you are doing, etc. As a former combat nurse Army I have worked in many surgical conditions, where the gloves are not available, but good soap and water were. We were grateful we had to! But it is more of a medical nature a doctor doesn't use a conditional. However, if you feel uncomfortable, simply change doctors.
