Directions:
Start your pedicure by soaking feet to soften and moisten skin. Follows are step-by-step instructions for your professional pedicure. Please read instructions completely before you begin.
Use the callus corn shaver to shave down corns and calluses on your feet. Slowly draw the shaver across the corn and callus, applying slight pressure to remove layers of dead skin.
Caution: The blade is razor sharp and should be handled with extreme care. Do not shave live skin. Diabetics and hemophiliacs should not use this tool.
After using the callus corn shaver, use the foot rasp to smooth out the rough areas. Work the rasp back and forth in a filling motion. The foot rasp is perfect to get corns or calluses between the toes. Use regularly on the heel and back of the feet. Keep in the shower for daily use.
Use the toenail clipper to cut toenails. Be sure to cut straight across to avoid ingrown toenails.
For ingrown toenails, use the sapphire nail file to file the top of the nail making it thinner and more flexible before cutting. Use toenail scissors to cut ingrown toenails. Use the point of the scissors to slide under the nail and cut straight. (Note: We recommend that you disinfect the tip of the scissors with alcohol first.) After cutting the nail, remove it and disinfect the toe with hydrogen peroxide.
After cutting the ingrown toenail, file the edge with the sapphire nail file. Slide this file under the edge of the ingrown toenail and pull out. Repeat several times. This will file the sharp edge smooth.
Use the sapphire nail file to file and sharp your toenails and fingernails.
You are now finished with your pedicure. If you are applying nail polish, place your toes into the toe separators. Leave in place until polish dries.

An Introduction to Hand Tools
As their name suggests, <a href=”http://www.generaltools.com/Departments/Hand-Tools.aspx” title=”Hand Tools”>hand tools</a> are essentially devices that enable the user to work on a material or a physical system using only his hands. Hand tools can be used manually by employing mechanical force or electrically by using electrical current.
Hand tools can be classified into several broad categories according to the function they perform. Let us take a look at some of the chief classifications and examples of each below:
• Driving and chopping tools, which include hammers, mauls, sledges, screwdrivers and bits and chopping tools.
• Cutting and smoothing tools, which include saws, chisels, planes, files and rasps and brush-cutting tools.
• Drilling, boring and countersinking tools
• Measuring, leveling, layout and marking tools like rules, tapes, plumb bobs, and squares
• Gripping, prying and twisting tools such as pliers, wrenches and bars
• Holding, raising and grinding tools like vises, clamps, jacks, grinders and oilstones
• Digging tools including shovels, posthole diggers, picks and mattocks
• Pipe wrenches
• Pocket HoleJig
• Specialty tools like automotive rescue tools, needle files, glass magnifiers, grommets and fasteners, hooks, probes, positioning, inspection and retrieval tools, magnets and punches
The most common functions served by these hand tools are those of plumbing and woodworking.
<a href=”http://www.generaltools.com/Departments/Hand-Tools/Plumbing-Tools.aspx” title=”Plumbing Tools”>Plumbing tools</a> are required for 3 main parts of a plumbing job – cutting the pipe to length (hacksaw and pipe cutter), bending it to shape (bending spring, pipe bending machine) and then joining it up to other pipes and fittings (gas blow lamp, spanner).
Your <a href=”http://generaltools.com/Departments/Hand-Tools/Woodworking-Tools.aspx” title=”Woodworking Tools”>woodworking toolbox</a> should include a drill (corded or cordless), a circular saw for trimming and cutting, finishing and belt sanders, a jig saw for cutting curves and rough outlines, a table saw with a powerful motor and a router to cut profiles.
Whether you are a professional, a hobbyist or simply a responsible home owner, a good set of hand tools is the basic requirement to perform any carpentry or plumbing jobs around the house.
