High Frequency

High Frequency
What if you are exposed to loud noise at a frequency too high?

The human auditory system can hear sounds with frequencies greater than 20,000 Hz, and I imagine the pain threshold is around 120 db. Now, suppose you are exposed to a sound recording to 250 db, and a frequency of 30,000 Hz to cause permanent hearing loss? A noise that no one can hear but can cause massive damage to the auditory system. Is there something you create so much noise? Thank you.

For the record, a firecracker can cause permanent hearing damage. Continued exposure to sounds above 100 dB can cause hearing loss permanent. I would say that the sound recorded at 250 dB could deafen (Navy is about to sound that range) and if you want to hear the sound 30000hz, use the link below. And what you ask is likely to have a fall on the floor writhing in pain, but do not know why – may not be able to hear sound, but you can feel the waves of compression, if strong enough. WARNING: If you use the link below TURN YOUR VOLUME DOWN BEFORE PLAYING. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVbmYcYDNUM
