Do I have to massage oil per day to my 6 months old?

Hello! My son is 6 months old. He has dry skin and itching face. Is completely in the chest. Do I have to do a massage of oil per day? If I do massage with oil, you have to put soap while bathing, but as you know there is no required daily soap for babies. What do you suggest? Thanks.
