Chair massage techniques

Chair massage techniques are unique. Many massage therapists try to use traditional techniques Swedish massage to do chair massage, but this approach does not translate well to seated massage.

Swedish massage techniques largely consist of movements sliding and this does not work well because of the chair massage is done over clothing and no oils are used.

There are essentially six types of techniques Massage Chair:

1. Compression techniques: These are what we might consider the techniques of acupuncture and the techniques used massage chair. The creator of the concept of chair massage was formed in Amma massage, an ancient system of acupressure techniques and style of massage is often used in training technique of massage chair. These can be tough on the thumbs, as typically used, especially because many coaches do not have adequate knowledge in the application of these techniques. However, the Relax to the Max, students are taught to do these techniques safely with a strong emphasis on the biomechanics of movement. In addition, the thumbs are used very rarely used in the Relax to the Max chair massage techniques and other contact points are often used, including fists, heels of the hands, knuckles, elbows and forearms.

2. Squeeze technique: With this type of massage techniques, the doctor tightens the muscles between two points of contact. These are often performed in large muscle groups and muscles that are not tightly to underlying structures. It is very important when making these techniques to precisely identify the edges of the muscles and this is a big focus on training to learn to do these chair massage techniques to Relax Max.

3. Mixing Techniques: These are circular motions. Like the other chair massage techniques already discussed, there are ways to make these techniques putting minimal stress on the body. Whereas most schools teach students how to do this with your thumbs, Relax Max uses points single contact as elbows and pisiforms doing these techniques to save your thumbs and to reduce the amount of effort.

4. Percussion: These techniques are fueling what many refer to as karate chops. When properly applied the techniques of percussion massage chair feels great. Clients often report this is my favorite part of your massage experience sitting.

5. Friction techniques: This is an adaptation of traditional Swedish Style movements and used occasionally in the chair.

6. Sliding techniques: Although not commonly performed, there are times when these can be used effectively. Relax in the Max to learn when this type of chair massage techniques are indicated.
