McChrystal Victim
It finally happened. Happened can be the first time in the history of the United States, when a General of the Army so aggressively accused Democrats of not taking government decisions in the best interest of the United States. The elimination episode of General Stanley McChrystal of Command has opened a new Pandora's box that could not close so easily.
On June 23, 2010, USA and the world that once saw a bold, determined and ambitious president of the lone superpower shows a face concerned, angry, desperate people, frustrated in his speech a few minutes. Her speech gave an opportunity for many to feel that Mr. Barack Hussein Obama is losing grip bench power due to sweaty hands.
The case must not be ignored when we can see the episode McChrystal interview to a magazine and events that followed are the sign of a conspiracy behind the scene .. horrible The burst by a competent and Prime Minister General was the result of events which lasted situation in the measure of the total polarization of the Army U.S. with the Civil Government.
Events reaching the threshold is due to the following facts.
It is widely believed that President Obama is facing criticism from his team during handling of the war in Afghanistan. Without a clear and concise policy, due to agitation feet, the President made a lot of complex things.
General McKiernan (retired U.S. Army four-star general who served in Afghanistan as commander of the International Security Assistance Force-ISAF June 3, 2008 June 15, 2009) and General David Petraeus (United States Army and 10 general and current commander of U.S. Central Command) are key figures at the time of the war on Afghanistan is discussed. It all started when General McKiernan was relieved of their duties in Afghanistan and was replaced by General Stanley McChrystal. General McKiernan has special relations with the media including CNN, Fox and newspapers like the Washington Post. He had been supported deeply by all new companies registered in the State Department and Congress. When he was relieved of his command in Afghanistan, The Washington Post called it "a rare decision to remove a wartime commander and described the substitution as one of several general replacements of traditional representation "Army generals" who have pushed for the use of counter-insurgency tactics. McKiernan retired with full honors in the July 15, 2009 the Secretary Gates praised him for his leadership at every level military and gave him the Distinguished Service Medal Defense for his service. He also received the Distinguished Service Medal Army his host retirement ceremony, Army Chief General George W. Casey, Jr
General McKiernan replacement has created a stir within the U.S. Army and Gen. David Petraeus understood to have been quite unhappy with the replacement. However, it was the pressure of Secretary Gates that General McChrystal found to be more active and competent, compared General McKiernan to handle the complex war zone of Afghanistan.
Unfortunately, the media giants that had soft corner for the general McKiernan could not digest this substitution. A systematic campaign was launched later by some major media giants, including CNN embedded when its journalist Michael Yon began sending reports that McChrystal was incompetent and unfit to handle the task.
Michael Yon on one of his interviews Obama praised the president and the secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, for his strategy in Afghanistan. At that moment General McKiernan was in charge of the war zone.

Michael Yon on tips Extracts President Obama, when General McKiernan was not relieved of their duties.
YON: First, listen carefully to his military advisers, including McKiernan and General Petraeus. Do not put lipstick on the pig, so to speak. I see General McKiernan as commander realistic and truthful. Secretary Gates will tell you that we need more instructors to train the Afghan army and police, and our commanders on the ground say the same thing. We need more money to infrastructure and development. We need roads, paths, roads and more roads. We need to address more vigorously the opium economy and ways of life alternative to the Afghan people. We need to work not to alienate the Afghan people, because if we lose we still have widespread approval will probably lose the war.
The supplementary statement to General McKiernan Journalist shows that the support was there for the General to keep your strategy in place.
This issue embedded journalist Michael Yon on CNN played an important role in the disappearance of General McChrystal professional.

Military reporter and blogger Michael Yon is threatening to sue Major General Stanley McChrystal Afghanistan for libel, writes on his Facebook page:
I have in my possession of hard evidence of General McChrystal smear campaign. It has been sent to my lawyer. The sad part is that McChrystal is incompetent, even with a smear campaign. Official statements by its people – in writing – have been defamatory and slanderous. A writer must be able to spot defamation … a soldier must be trained to detect improvised explosive devices. It is part of the job. If you can not detect it, being harmed. Further evidence of the incompetence of McChrystal is the ease with shock that a writer from the field and get a laser itself and the staff of lying. Y then his own staff is committed slander and libel. They fight like children. Are giving me ammunition. It's sad. We can not win a war with people as complex as that they are responsible. This is not a winning team.
"The writers who are afraid to take the useless are powerful here," he continued more below in the comments. I have not had time to figure out the backstory here. Yon's site here .

UPDATE: U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Edward T. Sholtis with public affairs office of the command of ISAF in Afghanistan, writes to respond, below the jump:
"Yon started its embedded in Kandahar on 03 February by invitation orders lasting 87 days, much more than a typical mainstream, "said a U.S. military official who declined to be identified, said. "As agreed that his time in Afghanistan began to relax, let him know that he intended to remain embedded until August this year. Given a finite capacity to accommodate embedded reporters, this decision amounts to a decision to deny some of his colleagues the opportunity he had enjoyed more than two months, and you can always ask for a repeat. The domino effect that the election one way or another, have hit 26 journalists integrate currently scheduled for the end of the month (who are still waiting to be matched with available slots), 76 which have been on the waiting list due to lack slots, and hundreds more are waiting to embed in Kandahar later this summer. Payments computers responsible for it decided against disembed Yon His will, which coincides with the period in which the verbal attacks against General McChrystal began. "
"Before that, the presentation Yon reports of coalition operations was essential, but not in a way that posed no serious problem here in Kabul " continued.
After reading the above facts it is quite easy to understand that McChrystal is facing a war Dual front that was slipping from the hands of a competent General. Not only had to face the real enemy on the ground, but back home the support for him was grim due to the president's decision-making power weak Obama. Unfortunately, the President exercised his power of decision, but quickly against the impact could McChrystal be enormous and would be the backbone of the U.S. military installation is.
As we look to the replacement of General McChrystal, the general David Petraeus is not a fair election. Some press reports have speculated that Petraeus might be interested in running for president, especially after visiting a school known for hosting the presidential debates, Saint Anselm College. Notwithstanding these bills, Petraeus has stated categorically that it has no political ambitions. However, the possibility is still there. Another matter that arises is the status of general health is very suspicious Petreaus when he came from outside the cancer treatment prostate cancer in October 2009. More recently fainted during a hearing in front of Senator McCain in the U.S. Senate raises the question about their ability handling pressure situations. The selection of General Petreaus seems to be the result of some kind of urgency after the relief of General McChrystal but in my opinion personal, soil McChrystal was done and fell into the trap that already have been for months
Beyond General Petreaus certainly not the ideal choice as he felt much pressure from failures compound in Afghanistan due to lack of foresight shown by the Obama Administration. His physical and mental strength is not for the brand at this time as discussed earlier. The Obama administration tried to cover up the gap in a hurry McChrystal crazy and stupidity had an idea the impact that will be sent to all established military in Afghanistan. general approach Petreaus was for the presidency in the upcoming election is why it is difficult it may be able to give 100 percent to the war.
When the unfortunate event that unfolds against McChrystal, Lt. Gen. David Rodriguez is expected to be the potential replacement. However, the error of haste brought Gen.Petreaus in the hot seat to see the Afghan war in the most difficult. Lt. Gen. David Rodriguez resigned the command of the 82nd Airborne Division July 21, 2008. His tour as a division commander in eastern Afghanistan has won praise as one of the most successful counterinsurgency efforts since violence began to rise there in 2006, and U.S. Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates chose him to be Gates' senior military assistant to the role of Rodriguez was promoted to lieutenant general on July 29, 2008. Inside sources revealed that after McChrystal was decided replacement, Robert Gates, insisted on making Lieutenant General Rodriguez in charge of the operations of the ISAF in Afghanistan, but this time also Obama came up with its own decision to Gen. Petreaus to bring forward. In early May 2009 Rodriguez and Lt. Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal were seen as major candidate to succeed General David D. McKiernan as senior military commander in Afghanistan. Rodriguez was appointed deputy director of McChrystal, a new post three star designed to handle military operations every day, the commander of the release of four stars to focus on issues of level theater. According to Gates, "General Rodríguez General McChrystal and unique ability to bring a counter located on these issues.
There is also a strong possibility that Lt. Gen. David Rodriguez was not given office in Afghanistan because of its close association and loyalty to General McChrystal more their strategy is the same for general relief. In summary McChrystal formulas to achieve the ultimate success in Afghanistan is no longer applicable. The change in current strategy Afghan would only add to the success of the Taliban who can say that the major U.S. general are incapable of addressing this complex area war. Now the selection of a relatively less aggressive Petreaus commander can further deteriorate the situation that would lead to the position in which the promise President Obama to the American nation that U.S. forces starting from his departure in 2011 of Afghanistan seems almost impossible now.
In conclusion of the above, I can say that McChrystal systematically fell into the trap set up against him with the help of a journalist by those forces within the U.S. Army and the Government conspiring against a competent General had all the ability for the success of U.S. operations in Afghanistan. Afghan President Hamid Karzai and the Government with Pakistan's army chief, General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani were completely satisfied and contended with the line of command and coordination with General McChrystal. It sad for everyone that a brave general had to endure the insult only because he chose to become vocal against those who are running the show with a focus rookie back in the White House. The role of embedded journalists must also question who tried to divert attention from a serving General, which focused on complete war strategy. The American nation is more misery and more errors of the Obama Administration, for its inability to handle the situation in Afghanistan is proving to be controlled by each passing second.
