If Photo Facial bad for dark skin?

There are new laser treatments for leveling uneven skin tone and discoloration. My question is that if this could be detrimental to darker skinned people. I'm the cream and I've been wondering about getting a photo of the face to match my skin tone areas who have acne scars. Can chlorine Photo Rejuvenation or Photo facial scars, or darken my skin? What are the risks in general, regardless skin color? Thanks
