2001 Dodge Stratus SE – brake problems. (Answer only if you have knowledge or experience with repairs)?

My 2001 Dodge Stratus SE 2.4L (4 cylinders) has approx. 75,000 miles. The brake pedal "violently beating" when applying the brakes while traveling 45 to 55 km / h, and is only slightly sensitive to slow at lower speeds in less than 25 MPH. The pulsating brake pedal problem started about 2 months, and have since replaced the brake pads new front brake rotors with premium, but the brake pedal pulsing problem still persists. My new tires are less than 1 year old with less than 10,000 milest, and no abnormal wear. No alignment problems with the car. The mechanic who changed the brake pads and rotors do not know what is wrong. A mechanic second thought to the ABS may be malfunctioning. Before taking my life savings to the local agency that charges $ 135 for the diagnosis and $ 120/hour for service, does anyone experienced similar problems or the certainty of symptoms is a bad ABS (Anti-lock Brake System). Is there any way to disconnect the ABS me?

I have done Most of my own maintenance for over 40 years. I am not a professional just a good shade tree mechanic. If it was my car I would like do two things before you start spending a lot of money. First, I want to disable the ABS. You may have a book in the car for it, but the brakes do not have a way not sure of the standard ABS function it should be able to pull a fuse or disconnect a cable car and is operated safely. If the problem goes away you has its response, the ABS is broken. If it does not, that is, holding down then we got to the second. Secondly, I would like a break man good to check the rotors for any distortion or break. If the rotors have ups and downs in them will be operating all kinds of squirrels. If this is the problem rejuvenation of the rotors probably cure your problem. Good luck, I have a very mild case of the same thing in a Buick, but I know it's a rotor problem in fixing coming weeks. As soon as the bank account permits.
