Programmable Back
I'm trying to put some numbers on my scanner. I am hving trouble installing them?

I had no back problems when he went to install. this scanner programmable. topunch as I can in two or three numbers and nothing else. any suggestions. Recent numbers are perhaps in the last year or so. the scanner is perhaps 5 years of age. Thanks for any info.

You did not mention what brand of scanner you have so I can only tell you what my program (Uniden Bearcat). Once the frequencies, there should be a button "Manual" or something similar … press, and you should be in programming mode. Choose the channel you want to store in the frequency. Remember that all frequencies have a decimal point in them (.) Sure to take advantage of this number. Once introduced numbers, you have to press the ENTER button … some scanners only have an E on the button. Keep doing this until all numbers are stored. My scanner is a 50 channels (5 bank) scanner, which means you can store 10 frequencies per bank for a total of 50 frequencies. If for some reason you just are capable of storing numbers 2-3, try another group (the bank).
