H&K G11 firing mechanism/caseless ammunition?

the H&K G11 rifle uses a rotating mechanism to load the cartridge into the breech, but as its caseless how is the propellant ignited? with normal ammunition the percussion cap is struck by the firing pin which in turn ignites the propellant.

The G11 used ammunition that had a fully combustible primer molded into the rear portion of the propellent charge. It was ignited by a conventional firing pin. The Voere VEC-91 caseless rifle used electronic ignition and had no firing pin or striker.
