Nyko Wand Wii Remote is full of problems?

About five months ago, I bought a Black Edition Wii console, which came with a black remote. I also got a Nyko Wand Wii Remote. Throughout the entire time I have used both remotes, the black remote has given me no problems while the Wand has been full of them. For instance, it will occasionally just shut off for no apparent reason, even with fresh batteries; it fails to respond to rechargeable batteries fresh off the Wii Charging Dock; and it sometimes fails to read accessories such as the Nunchuks. Does anybody have any solutions on how to fix it? I’ve been thinking it’s just Nyko and their crappy gear.
