Little bubbles in my manicure?
So, I started painting my nails for the first time ever about a month ago. I’ve never had a professional manicure/pedicure, so I really don’t know ANYTHING about it.
I researched a bit online about how to protect my nails because I’ve heard stories about people getting nail discoloration or severe drying out because they don’t know how to take care of their nails while using nail polish. So, I do know to use a protective base coat and top coat (I use Sally Hansen Ultimate Shield), and to use non-acetone polish remover.
My problem is that I keep getting these little bubbles in each coat, especially the coats of polish (using L’Oreal Steel Colour). I let the base coat, each polish coat, and top coat alone to dry for at least 20 minutes before applying another layer. I don’t shake my bottles. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Please help!
Make sure your nails are totally clean before you apply any varnish by washing your hands and using nail varnish remover even if you don’t have any varnish on. Apply really thin coats and make sure you roll the bottle gently between your hands. It could also be that your varnish is old and you need to replace it.
