What products do you use on your dog?

What brand do you rate highly? What shampoo, conditioner, finishing spray etc do you use? Have you found a good brand? Do you buy online and use the “professional” groomers site and their products? Do you blow dry you dog when you bathe him / her or just a rub down with a towel?

I really love Pure Paws and Bio-groom products.I order them online and some products I can get at the store. They were referred to me by both of my breeders I went 2.

For my toy poodle I use Pure Paws Ultra Shine Conditioning Spray…i use this product before the bath to get out tangles…also I use it on a day by day basis(alternating with just water) before combing through her coat. Its Really great detangler and conditioner finishing spray that keeps her coat really soft.

For my yorkies I love Bio-grooms Anytime Coat Care Leave-in Moisturizer…I spray this to keep their coats looking shiny.I found that this particular product works better then the Pure Paws Ultra Shine Spray,it just seems lighter which is better for my yorkies who have a much thinner coat.

Coat Handler Sensational Detangler Spray is great for little knots and tangles. I love this stuff! Especially for the belly and pits which can get knotted.

Shampoos-
Toy poodle uses…Bio-groom Extra Body Shampoo.It really helps with tangles and doesn’t dry out her fluffy hair.

The yorkies use… Pure Paws Reconstructing Shampoo.It helps alleviate breakage.Ive noticed this shampoo is very moisturizing which keeps their hair long and strong.

For conditioners I use Bio-groom Silk Cream Rinse Conditioner. I like the texture of this product.Its a bit thinker then other conditioners but still is keeps the texture of the coat nice,it a moisturizer,and detangler and it rinses out really really easy but yet its still thick…the Pure Paws Silk Cream was just 2 thick and hard to rinse out.

I Blow dry them…I do not towel rub as its bad for breakage.I squeeze out the excess water with a micro fiber towel then I blow dry. I don’t even towel rub my own hair.You hair catches the loops on the towel and it causes breakage.

I only bathe them 2-3 times a month.Some times just once a month during the summer. When its dry out side they aren’t getting muddy or anything so they don’t need need many bathes.

Taking really good care of my dogs coats has for sure lowered my groomer costs overall…He no longer has to deal with matting and the their coats are in Great Condition.My yorkies also have nice length…so now my groomer just cuts and does the basicis.
