why are almost all electronics black?
what the heck, i want a nice monitor to match my custom computer case, stainless looking, chrome, red – anything but the same old same old, stereos, monitors, calculators, africans – all black,,
what the corn? why, why ! there must be a scientific reason, and dont give me the whole “The Lord split up the continents speal”
Early HDTVs and monitors were silver and now Samsung has the “dark purple” (Merlot). Sony at some point tried to sell TVs with custom bezels. ipods are sold on multiple colors.
It is all about volume and cost. If the volume is not big enough it is very costly to have SKUs of the same product at different colors. You need to manage production and inventory of each color, etc. So, they pick a safe – fits most homes – color and they go with it.
