Your opinions on Massage Therapy?

I will be attending massage therapy school this month. This is for the basic program (required courses for TX MT). What are some of the options I have with the basic education? What are the best in your opinion? Should I go on to take the advanced curriculum, or stick with the “continued education” courses every couple of years (required)? I am aware of the general options (cruise ships, physical therapy, spa/salon, etc.), I’m just unsure of the level of certified education I need for each of them. Would you recommend a bachelor’s in a related degree?
Also, if this is your field, how was the certification test?

I have a friend who is licensed and she works at a resort not even a mile from her house . She has appointments mon-fri and makes her own schedule . It’s a good profession .
