I need a Christian perspective, please …?

I'm looking for some opinions on Reiki … from the Christian perspective. Is it just their self-esteem by, for example … like getting a massage, or go to a therapist, etc.? (In other words, there is nothing that endangers their beliefs.) Or will involve a lot of "new age spiritualism, etc. .. that is not favorable to Christianity anyone? I am a cancer survivor stage 4, (but also a Christian saved) it is simply asking if there is something wrong in participating in services like Reiki? Do you cross the line, or may only be used to improve your health therapuetically? Just curious, and thanks in advance for your opinions! ** And please, just let the issue be what it is … I would prefer not to answer if you are here to belittle my faith or make rude comments. We are adults here, right? **

I think it would just good for treatment of Reiki. I have a friend who actually does Reiki, and although she is not a believer I give her Reiki treatment. It is very soft and I feel that my relationship with God remains. I also love yoga and though it began as a Hindu spiritual thing I think that actually brings me closer to God. I am more aware of myself and my body during the reiki and yoga and then help me to concentrate on what my purpose is with God. Hope this makes sense ..
