Seat heating and cuffs on a Harley Ultra Classic Electra Glide, sound systems?
I'm in the market for a new touring bike and I was wondering I am a big difference how a heated seat and grips that when riding in hot or cold days. Are they essential, or are simply a matter of fashion? Also with regard to the sound systems, will I be able to hear music, even with my helmet? I saw a BMW driver who had headphones or something in the town controlled a control handle bars. Basically, what is the best way to enjoy music on a Harley?
The heated seat and grips are great if you plan to travel in just a few cold days, but for the really cold weather or long trips on cold days you need more than that. The key to stay warm out in the wind is layers. The space between the layers of trap Body Heat and are much warmer than one thick layer thick. Do not be shy on putting in two long sleeves or turtlenecks or sweaters before outerwear. And do not laugh, a good raincoat is sometimes warmer than leather, It blocks the wind. In cooler weather, I have some packages that can be torn to be hot. Most stores like Kmart and sporting goods have at this time the year. These I have gotten out of trouble when he strayed too far and too long on a cool day and was cold, dark home. If you do not get a horrible cold which you live you can get by with cuffs and trim and are wired into the bike so you just get off and walk away without having to disconnect any cables. If that does not da SAFE enough to keep you warm, you can buy armchaps heated, gaiters, gloves, vests and www.gerber.com www.widder.com and the local Harley dealer can have some in stock or at least in its catalog. I bought the insulation, electricity Harley pants and had me in a warm 34 degree. But I have also been Widder arm chaps and vest and gloves as well. If you have the lower fairings in place that might need heat in the legs for short trips, but on a long trip cold leg and not feel it until you try to get off the bike. ADB. once your legs are cold it takes a lot of body temperature and much to warm again. This is dangerous because it can become disoriented and just run off the road. For music to several of my friends in the HOG club to use an MP3 player connected to headphones. Fits most helmets and still allow enough external noise which allows you to be aware of the surroundings. If you feel rich Harley has a handlebar mount radio / CD with large waterproof speakers can really sing the songs. Hope it gives you enough information to make a good choice. ride safe ride ………… YA …………..
Psoriasis: vs. low temperatures. Ultra Low Temperature
Today psoriasis remains an enigma to dermatologists both experienced and for which suffering from psoriasis.
It is believed that the basis of psoriasis, establishing a genetic predisposition. Some lucky person will live by her / all life without the development of psoriasis. In the less fortunate under the influence of a trigger, will develop psoriasis.
As can serve as a trigger for psoriasis? It may be a tension, an intellectual over-voltage, an infectious disease, etc. .. Poor diet
Hypothermia can be a trigger for psoriasis.
Hypothermia – low temperatures.
What is hypothermia? Hypothermia is a continued decline in core body temperature.
Hypothermia is a very dangerous condition that can occur when a person is being temperatures subject to air or water down for an extended period of time. Hypothermia may occur in the winter. It can also occur in the spring, fall, or even the summer. For example, the body temperature of a child who has been swimming in cold water for a long time, can reduce their absence did not even realize that.
The body temperature of a human being is maintained through the homeostasis of the call – the mechanism that ensures the stability of the internal environment of our body. With hypothermia, homeostatic systems eventually fail to produce sufficiently high levels of heat in the body.
Hypothermia is dangerous because it can lead to incapacitation, frost bite and even death in worst cases.
Even though hypothermia is the most common trigger of psoriasis, is known to trigger psoriasis in some cases.
Hypothermia is a threat, for example, for survivors of a sinking ship. People in this case are subject to the cold water until they are rescued. Water absorbs heat very quickly and therefore the body temperature of a person staying in the cold water starts to fall very quickly.
In this case, hypothermia would also be connected to the stress induced by fear. This special combination would able to cause psoriasis in a person with a genetic predisposition.
Cryotherapy – Ultra Low temperatures.
Surprisingly, ultra low temperatures is reported able to treat psoriasis. ultra-low temperatures used in the so-called cryotherapy. Cryotherapy has virtually nothing in common with hypothermia.
What is cryotherapy? Cryotherapy is a treatment with the use of ultra low temperatures. These low temperatures, and is used in cryotherapy can not be achieved without special equipment. The normal temperature of the gas used in the Cryotherapy consists -150 degrees Celsius.
The body surface contact with cryotherapy ultra-low temperatures consists only several minutes.
The skin temperature at the time the cryotherapy procedure reduces to -2 degrees Celsius. This causes a strong stress on the skin and throughout the body. This type of stress is probably the only ones capable of beneficially influencing psoriasis.
The irritant action of cryotherapy causes the mobilization of various functions of the body affected, ie, can help repair the skin affected by psoriasis. Cryotherapy is especially known for being effective in the treatment of psoriasis in the scalp.
