Question about LPF and HPF settings Vibe Slick A2 Amplifier.?
Okay, so I do not really know much about stereo systems and subwoofer and all that … All I know is that I love. I'm slowly working my way to a decent sound system. Right now I'm driving a VW Jetta GLS 04. I have a Vibe Slick A2 Amplifier and PolkAudio just bought a 12 "subwoofer. I had an installation done for the amplifier and all, but has not yet set the amplifier. I do not understand how to do and want some expert advise. If I have a stock HU, Vibe Slick A2 amplifier, and subwoofer 12, What do I put my LPF and HPF configuration also? Here are some statistics on the subject. Amp-2 Amp Channel 12.24 variable bass boost high pass crossings and under 2 stereo Ohms = 2 x 160 watt RMS 650 watt amplifier -. Subwoofer frequency response 26-200 Hz Power handling 360 watts RMS-50 (720 peak) Sensitivity-97 dB and the material HU VW Jetta. Sorry I do not know shit about this. but please help me tune this shit!
keep the Bass at the zero switch setting the filter lpf lpf dial somewhere around 80 Hz (8 or 9:00), HPF dial is inactive. The gain is set according to the pre-amplifier voltage unit. The input sensitivity of your amplifier is 0.2V to 6V, counter clockwise fully 6v at the far right is 0.2. Most of the main units in the range of 2-4x so the gain should be in the range from 9:00 to 3:00. It is a Very Good base settings tutorial on page 6 of the manual: http://www.vibecaraudio.com/support/manuals/manual_slicka2.pdf
