Does anybody know how to print out a design that can be put onto fabric?

To be more specific: I need to print out a design somewhere so that I can somehow iron/sew it onto fabric. I’m not sure if it’s possible, but is there anyway I could do that? I know there must be, but I’m not asking it correctly. I have a design scanned onto the computer and I want it on a velvet drawstring bag I have. Any help?

Yes, there’s “heat transfer” paper available for both inkjet and laser printers. Trusting that you can come up with the design yourself?
